R U L E S
A.S. ARCOSPORT - IN ACCORD WITH F.C.I. - ORGANIZES FOR SUNDAY 22ND SEPTEMBER 2002 A MOUNTAIN BIKE RACE, OPEN TO ALL THE ATHLETES MEMBERS OF F.C.I. A/O OTHER SPORT ASSOCIATIONS RECOGNIZED BY F.C.I.
1) The registration involves the complete acceptance of the rules and the program of the event.
2) The inscribed biker authorizes the organization to use his personal dates for mailing and advertising and for statistics. To validate the registration, the biker must authorize personal dates treatment. At every moment, the biker can have access to his personal dates, can request changes, cancellation or can deny their use, by writing to the organization office.
3) The race will take place with every weather condition. Only the Race Director can decide over an eventual cancellation of the race: the inscribed bikers will be informed immediately.
4) The Race Director, in order to guarantee to all the participants the maximal degree of security, can cancel part of the race stretch or order time limit controls on the distance. Every change will be communicated during the briefing. Participants arriving at the control after time limit must end their competition. The way back to the starting point must be covered by own means of transportation and under own responsibility.
5) The registration fee will not be refund, even when the race is annulled or the inscribed biker cannot take part to the competition for any reason, depending or not on his will.
6) IT IS OBLIGATORY TO WEAR CRASH HELMET: the bikers with no crash helmet will not be admitted to the competition, and disqualified in case of no-use during the race.
7) The startnumber must be exhibited in front of the bike in well visible position. Bikers not exhibiting the startnumber will be disqualified.
8) Directions-arrows and ribbons sign the complete race stretch. If not otherwise signed, the bikers must follow the MAIN ROAD. Bikers voluntarily living the competition stretch and following other ways will be disqualified.
9) Only 2000 athletes will be inscribed to the competition, in order to permit to all of them to show their sport merits in the best way. There is no limit for the registrations in the category Excursionists. VERY IMPORTANT: Bikers coming from foreign countries cannot be inscribed in the category ATHLETES, but only in the category EXCURSIONIST (no ranking)
10) The organization will take not responsibility, personally and of the staff-members, for every damage or accident to people or things, before, during and after the competition, or due or consequent to it.
